History

The Waterville Valley Foundation was established in 1977 as a fund-raising organization in support of the Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports. Over time, the Foundation expanded its charter to include assistance to other programs and projects including the Rey Cultural Center, the Waterville Valley Athletic and Improvement Association, the Waterville Valley Recreation Department, the Waterville Valley Elementary School, and Shakespeare in the Valley. Outside the Valley, the Foundation has supported such diverse causes as Speare Memorial Hospital, the Center for Adolescent Health, the Campton Area Resource Center, and the Papermill Theater. In 2020, the Foundation sponsored a series of indoor and outdoor community movie nights.
