Waterville Valley Golf Club

The Waterville Valley Golf Course, set against the stunning backdrop of New Hampshire's 4,000-foot mountains, offers a classic New England golfing experience. Established in 1898 by two summer residents, it was developed by members of the Waterville Athletic and Improvement Association (WVAIA), which had been formed a decade earlier in 1888. The advent of automobiles reduced the need for horse feed, allowing a former hay field to be transformed into a golf fairway. By 1900, the nine-hole course was completed, and the first championships for both men and women were held, marking the beginning of a rich golfing tradition.

Today, the Waterville Valley Golf Club continues to provide a unique and challenging 9-hole course with four par-4s and five par-3s. The course is designed to cater to golfers of all ages and skill levels, with no two holes alike. Fairways lead players into the mountainous terrain and back down to the valley floor, offering a mix of fun and challenge amidst breathtaking scenery. This historic course not only preserves its traditional charm but also remains an integral part of the Waterville Valley Resort, which offers a variety of recreational activities and amenities for visitors
