Waterville Valley Community Pool
A brook flowing to this spot was dammed in the 1930s to provide a swimming hole that was used until a concrete, Olympic-sized community pool opened here in 1950. The brook, only slightly warmer than the cold Mad River, continued to be the water source. This level site was created when the pool was removed in 1985.
